Bidding Farewell to "Kustomizer" George Barris

George Barris was an absolute icon of the aftermarket customizers, turning regular production vehicles into something very different. He and his brother, Sam, made an early name for themselves and George continued on creating cars that were stars of the big and little screen. Our friend, Pete Haak, attended his memorial service and brought back a few pictures of the cars, many of which were a tribute to the man they came to celebrate.

There is so much to say about the "King of Customizers" but we really liked the article about  George Barris on Wikipedia. There is also George Barris' own website to peruse.

Again, our thanks to Pete Haak for these images.
