24 Hours of Lemons - Sears Pointless @ Hooptiecon

The 24 hours of Lemons is an endurance race for cars that cost $500 or less. And four-wheeled machine is eligible as long as it cost you fewer than $500.

Kids under 16 free.

Offered and organized by Sonoma Raceway. Testing runs Noon-4pm, $TBA per car flat fee. There is no pre-registration for testing. Register and pay (on Friday after 10:30am) at Guest Services, located near the front gate. Testing is only for cars and drivers registered to race for the weekend.

Got no life? You can show up from 5pm-10pm, but you'll be stuffed in a staging area until the track crew has finished preparing the paddock--which may not happen until Friday morning.

Friday, 8 March 2019
11am-5pm: Mandatory Friday tech inspection. All cars and at least one teammate must be present.
12pm-4pm: Lemons testing. Details above.

Saturday, 9 March 2019
7am: Gates open
8:30am: Mandatory drivers' meeting
9:30am-4:30pm: Race session I
10am-5pm: HooptieCon Activities TBA
5pm-6pm: Parade lap of Sonoma for car show participants

9am-4:30pm: Race session II
5pm: Awards
8pm: Huge winter-rain-induced mudslide covers paddock, best be gone.
