August 28, 2010, 9am - 12pm --- Kids' Engine Class. How does a gasoline engine work? Boys and girls in the 5th-9th grade and their adult buddy can find out. Kids get to take apart a Briggs and Stratton one cylinder engine and learn how solids, liquids, and gases interact to make it run. Then fire up a variety of engines to see how each gets their specific job done. There is no driving or riding involved, and you won't get greasy (although we do promise lots of noise and smoke). The class is $25 per pair for nonmembers and $20 per pair for Museum members. Cost includes handouts and Museum admission. Space is limited so call (916) 442-6802 or visit www.CalAutoMuseum.org to sign up today!
