The 1965-66 Full Size Chevrolet Club (65-66 FSCC) is dedicated to the preservation, restoration and recognition of the full size Chevrolet line of 1965 and 1966 automobiles. This year, the Club celebrates its 35th year with its International Meet in Hibbing, Minnesota on July 9th – 14th. Visitors from around the United States and Canada will attend.
The meet includes a special car show for Hibbing and surrounding area residents on July 12th held at Ranger Chevrolet Buick and GMC. The public is welcome! Please come out and enjoy our cars, both restored, and those that are unrestored and original. Of course, anyone who owns a 1965 or 1966 full size Chevrolet is welcome to display their cars with us. ('65 and '66 full size Chevys only, please!) The full size Chevrolet line consisted of the Biscayne, Bel-Air, Impala, and Caprice models.
Each day, our1965-1966 Chevrolet automobiles will caravan to destinations where Chevy muscle will truly meet Minnesota iron. The Mesabi Range was the primary source for the iron ore in the mid 1960’s that made the steel for these automobiles. Planned caravan stops pay tribute to northern Minnesota’s historic role in America’s iron mining industry. Caravan destinations include the Hibbing Historical Society, Soudan Mine, Hibbing High School (spectacularly unique and on the Registry of Historic Places), an active Taconite mine, a special visit to the Zeigler/CAT mining equipment maintenance facility, the Greyhound Bus Origin Museum, and a special cruise to Embarrass, Minnesota – the “Coldest spot in the lower 48”.
