Wheels and Waves is an annual car show that began sixteen years ago at Chase Palm Park in Santa Barbara on Cabrillo Boulevard with just 65 cars. After just two years Wheels and Waves was so successful the decision was made to move it to State Street to accommodate its growth. The show’s success continued and was selling out with a max capacity of 410 cars. Wheels and Waves has outlived its space on State Street so the need arises to move it again…so that’s what we’ve done.
This year’s show is being held on the beautiful campus of Santa Barbara City College on the Great Meadow with its breathtaking ocean views. Wheels and Waves 2015 is being dedicated to one of the original founders Dick Howitt, to mark the five year anniversary of his passing. In honor of Dick, we have cut the registration almost in half and will be serving a catered lunch of hamburgers and hotdogs. We also have a very special surprise that will take place just after the show’s opening that promises to be one of the day’s highlights.
