American Heritage Car Show at the Escondido History Center

Over 200 gorgeous vehicles are exhibited in downtown Escondido’s Grape Day Park for your viewing pleasure.

One of the unique things about this show, in its 19th year, is that someone is honored each year for their contributions to local car culture. This year Jordan Quintal II will be honored at the show. Quintal is a longtime resident of Escondido and a well-respected name in the industry. His work has been featured in magazines such as Roadster, Hot Rod, 3 Wheeler, Maximum Drive, Rods of the World, and many more.

In addition to our honoree showing off some of his beautiful cars, the show will feature a DJ spinning “golden oldies” and tours of the Escondido History Center. The History Center’s museum includes a barn with vintage vehicles, working blacksmith shop where our seasoned artisans show a new generation how to bend metal, the original Santa Fe Train Depot that is brimming with photographs and exhibits, and a railroad car with an H-O scale model train inside.

Local new car dealers, including Toyota of Escondido, sponsor this annual event. Moreover, the sponsoring dealers will be exhibiting some of their newest cars to hit the road! Whether you love old cars, want to check out the latest innovations in new cars, or would like to spend the day in a beautiful park eating good food and enjoying the atmosphere, the American Heritage Car Show is for you!

The American Heritage Car Show kicks off the morning with a delicious pancake breakfast cooked up by local Kiwanians. Vendors, a raffle, and a wonderful award ceremony are all part of the fun.
